ATTENDANCE MARKING THROUGH FACE RECOGNITION
- AEBAS team has developed software for Aadhaar authentication using FACE recognition in collaboration with UIDAI RD, facilitating attendance marking through Face Recognition. The software accesses pictures from UIDAI’s CIDR repository for face authentication, replacing the use of fingerprints or iris scans.
- The process for attendance marking remains similar to previous methods, but now utilizes the individual’s face biometric data.
- Previously, attendance was marked using biometric methods such as fingerprints or iris scans.
- Due to the ongoing pandemic, attendance marking has transitioned to using Face Recognition.
- The attendance marking process remains unchanged: employees display a QR Code containing their attendance ID and then show their face for verification.
- Upon successful attendance marking, the display indicates either attendance opening or closing for the respective employee.
- The application is specifically designed for Android devices, with a minimum requirement specified in the document.
- Installation instructions are provided below.

- General guidelines for marking attendance include ensuring good lighting on the face and following instructions displayed on the RD screen.
- The background during attendance marking should be free of multiple objects or persons.
