Dear Sir/Madam,
This letter pertains to the discontinuation of the manual receipt MS87 (A) for the booking of EMO (Electronic Money Order) at Branch Post Offices. In reference to this subject, the General Secretary of FNPO, National Union of Gramin Dak Sevaks (NUGDS), through their letter dated 11.09.2024 (copy enclosed), has requested the cessation of manual receipt MS87 (A) for EMO bookings.
- The referenced letter states that EMO bookings are currently processed both manually and through devices. Given that EMO booking details are transmitted to the Account Offices within a few hours of payment, the manual receipts filed at Account Offices appear redundant and may no longer be necessary.
- Therefore, it is requested to assess the feasibility of discontinuing the manual receipt MS87 (A) for EMO bookings at Branch Post Offices and to furnish your feedback on this matter to this division.
