Booking VPMO on a Different Date After VPP Delivery at BO

When a Value Payable Post (VPP) is delivered at a Branch Office (BO), booking the Value Payable Money Order (VPMO) on the same day can sometimes be missed. In such cases, there are specific steps to take to successfully book the VPMO on a different date. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you manage this situation effectively:

Steps for Booking VPMO on a Different Date

  1. Check VPMO Booking Option
Start by checking if the VPMO booking option is available. If the system allows, you can book it directly.
  2. Contact Divisional Office (DO)
If the VPMO booking option is unavailable, send an email to the Divisional Office (DO) requesting VPP retrieval. However, be aware that VPP retrieval may not work for VPP items delivered at BOs.
  3. Reverse BO Document
In cases where VPP retrieval fails, try reversing the BO document for cash reflected in the Daily Transaction Report (DTR) at the Sub Office (SO) level. Receive the article again, show the delivery, and proceed with VPMO booking.
  4. Manage “Already Delivered” Status
Sometimes the article status will still show as “already delivered.” If this happens:

    • Reattempt receiving the article.
    • If this doesn’t work, perform a ZART upload after one week.
  5. Alternative Options
If waiting seven days isn’t feasible, consider completing the process at a nearby delivery office, if possible.
