Subject: Conferring Gazetted Status to HSG-I Cadre – Seeking Inputs/Comments

Madam/Sir,

I am directed to state that the Department has initiated a proposal to confer Gazetted status to the HSG-I grade. In this context, it is requested that the following information be furnished for a detailed examination of the proposal:

1. Sanctioned and Working Strength of HSG-I (PO)/(RMS)/(SBCO):

2. Duties and Responsibilities of HSG-I (PO)/(RMS)/(SBCO).

4. Financial Powers of HSG-I (PO)/(RMS)/(SBCO).
5. Specific Recommendation/Comments of the Head of Circle (HOC) on whether Gazetted status may be granted to HSG-I grade.
