The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has taken serious action following the discovery of fraudulent practices among several Health Care Organizations (HCOs) in the Delhi/NCR region. These malpractices involved the submission of fake and forged bills, as well as multiple instances of beneficiaries being admitted alongside their family members within short timeframes.
The following 19 HCOs have been suspended from CGHS empanelment with immediate effect:

Reason for Suspension
The Office Memorandum No. S-11045/36/2012-CGHS (HEC), dated 01.10.2014, and OM No. S-11011/09/2022/CGHS (HEC), dated 13.09.2022, initially sanctioned the empanelment of the aforementioned HCOs under the CGHS. However, these organizations were found guilty of engaging in activities that violate the integrity of the scheme:
- Submission of fake and forged bills.
- Admission of beneficiaries and their family members multiple times simultaneously over short intervals.
Decision by the Competent Authority
Given the gravity of the situation, the Competent Authority has suspended the empanelment of all 19 HCOs with immediate effect. This suspension will remain in place until further notice.
Treatment for Ongoing Patients
For CGHS beneficiaries already undergoing treatment in any of these suspended HCOs prior to the issuance of this order:
- They will continue to receive medical treatment at CGHS-approved rates until the completion of their current treatment.
- Post-treatment, the concerned HCOs must submit their bills to the National Health Authority or the relevant department, accompanied by a detailed justification for payment consideration.
The CGHS will continue to monitor and enforce strict standards to maintain the trust and integrity of its healthcare services. Further updates will be communicated as necessary.
