Things Mentioned by the Aadhaar Center Regarding APAAR

To register for an APAAR ID, students must meet the following requirements:

Valid Aadhaar Card: A valid Aadhaar card is mandatory for students to register for the APAAR ID.

DigiLocker Account: Students are required to create an account on DigiLocker, which will be used for e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) purposes.

  1. For individuals under 18 years of age, any correction in Aadhaar other than phone number and fingerprints requires a “Birth Certificate”.
  2. The birth certificate must have a QR CODE and should not be laminated.
    However, there may be some cases where a laminated certificate can be accepted.
  3. Old birth certificates are not accepted.
  4. You can obtain a new birth certificate at the Panchayat by showing the old one.
  5. If it is a Municipality birth certificate, you can obtain a new one from the “Mee Seva” center.
  6. Name correction for students can be done using the SSC Certificate.
  7. For correcting parent names, a Panchayat Secretary Certificate or a Gazetted Officer’s signature is required.
  8. The student or their mother/father should be present.

For any changes in Aadhaar related to family name, full name, date of birth, or parent names due to spelling errors or additions, a birth certificate is mandatory.

Eligibility for Changes with the Birth Certificate:

1. The current birth certificate should be available.
2. It must be in English.
3. It should have a QR code.

  • Photocopies or photos of birth certificates on the phone are not accepted; the original certificate is required.
  • The birth certificate must not be laminated.
