Subject: Filling up of the posts of Higher Selection Grade-II A/c in  Post Offices.

Madam/Sir

I am directed to say that various references of Postal circles are being received seeking the clarification for filling up of the posts of HSG-II A/c in PO.

2. The principal Recruitment Rules notified and published vide G.S.R. No.1643 dated 30.09.1976, laid down rules regulating the method of recruitment of persons to Selection Grade Posts in the Post Offices, Railway Mail Services, etc. S.No.8 of the said recruitment rules relates to HSG-II A/c in P.O. Amendment in RRs of HSG-II A/c in PO was made in 1982 vide letter No.4/11/80-SPB-II dated 16.12.1982 and as per this RRs, Post of HSG-II A/c in PO is to be filled up by LSG who have passed the Post Office Accountant Examination and worked as Accountant thereafter for at least three years regularly. Further amendment has not been made till date.
3. In view of the above, all Circles are hereby requested to fillup the posts og HSG-II A/c in PO in accordance with RRs of 1976 and 1982 (Copy Enclosed).
