The SBCO Incharge plays a crucial role in verifying FRMU alerts, especially for pre-mature closures (PMCs, except PPF). The following steps must be followed for cross-verification in consultation with the SBCO Supervisor:

  1. Physical Cross-Verification – The transaction details must be checked against the SB-7A closure form.
  2. Signature Matching – The signature on the account closure form should be tallied with the specimen signature in Finacle.
  3. Account Modification History – If required, use the HAFI menu in Finacle to check the modification history of the account/CIF and confirm the genuineness of the account holder.
  4. LOT & Voucher Cross-Verification – Ensure that:
    • The LOT is generated by SBCO through the Finacle Application (MIS URL).
    • Vouchers are cross-verified against the LOT.
    • Compliance with Rule 37(1), (2), and 81(1), (3) of SB Order No. 09/2018 and relevant rules of SB Order No. 14/2015 dated 04/08/2016 is strictly followed.

Handling Alerts from List A & List B

  1. List A Alerts (Require Further Verification) – If any alert from List A needs further verification:

    • The PM/Dy. PM/Chief PM should direct the Public Relations Inspector (P) to contact the customer.
    • The findings should be recorded.
    • If found suspicious, a report must be sent to the Divisional Head with the remark: “Report to Investigation”.
  2. List B Alerts (Require Further Investigation) – If any alert from List B requires verification:

    • The PM/Dy. PM/Sr. PM must send a report to the Divisional Head with the remark: “Further Investigation Needed”.
  3. Final Submission to the Division – After verification, the entire list should be sent back to the division, mentioning:

    • The serial number of the register or guard file against which the alert was cross-verified.
